This Australian Women’s Masters Championships is a fun and exciting tournament that is enjoyed by all who attend. We look forward to working with you as we strive for tournament success.
This link has been established to provide team members and supporters with all information required regarding the teams preparation and participation in the 2026 Australian Women’s Masters Hockey Championships to be held in Adelaide.

Hockey Victoria is seeking expressions of interest for enthusiastic Team Managers, Medical Support Team Members & Chef de Mission, to work with our Victorian Women's Masters Teams.
Nomination Pre-Requisite
- · Pre-Requisite for nomination is that players have current (2026) HV registration.
- · Make sure that you are registered prior to continuing with this nomination.
- · To update your Hockey Victoria membership, please use the link below.
- · Please use your current "RevSport" login details when nominating for a state team.
NOTE - Past HV Members now residing outside of Victoria or in regions associated with another HA members association will be able to register with Hockey Victoria as a 2026 HV Senior Interstate Levy member - Interstate Player Link

Hockey Victoria is now accepting nominations from eligible Women's Masters players for selection at the Australian Women’s Masters Championships, to be held in Adelaide, SA from September 24th thru October 3rd, 2026.

Player Nomination Closing Date - Friday April 10th at 4pm.
NOW EXTENDED TO SATURDAY 18th APRIL - PLEASE NOMINATE NOW.
Eligibility for Selection
Any 2026 Hockey Victoria member who fits the age category and attends and/or participates in the trial process

- All players must trial with the age group associated to their birthdate.
- Policy is to pick players in teams associated with their age group.
- Selectors to determine what age group players are selected.
- Age Group is determined by age at 31/12/2026.

- Trial 1 – Sunday May 3,2026: 7.45am-10:00am.

- Trial 2 – Sunday May 24, 2026: 7.45am-10:00am.

Conflicting Commitments
Players with known conflicting commitments including other sports, work and/or holidays should put this in writing to Masters Coordinator, Bill West bwest@hockeyvictoria.org.au prior to the Final Player Assessments.
NOTE - the masters state team organising committee can grant exemption from the trial process for reasons such as injury. Application for exemption should be in writing detailing reasons. Email - womensmasters@hockeyvictoria.org.au
Trial Preparation
- All players are required to arrive at 7.30am in preparation for a 7.45am player briefing.
- All players are required to bring 1 white and 1 black t-shirt
- No colours (grey is neither black or white).
- No State or National uniform items to be worn.
- All players are required to arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start times.
NOTE - actual start times for respective age groups may vary.
These will be communicated to nominees prior to trial.
Trial Format

Two trials are scheduled for each age group, please ensure you attend the correct trial dates according to your nominated age group. Trials can be in the form of games, skills or fitness based training. From the first trial a squad for each age group will be invited to the second trial for selection to continue. The final team will be named as soon as possible.

All nominated players must be able to attend designated Trials, if you are injured you need to provide a physio/doctor certificate which includes a return to playing plan. This must be emailed to womensmasters@hockeyvictoria.org.au
- The designated Chair of Selectors will chair the selection meetings.

Squads can be reduced at anytime.
- The Chair of Selectors will sit in on all final team selections, with selectors and coaches and oversee the process and final selections.
- Teams will be published on the HV website and promoted on social media.

Non-selected players can request feedback if they wish. This request needs to be made within the week following team announcements and directed to the HV Women's Masters Committee via email womensmasters@hockeyvictoria.org.au.

Selectors will consider a range of competencies when assessing final team appointments.
Squad Announcement Date
- SQUADS NAMED: Friday June 12
- State teams will consist of no more than 16 players, unless the selection panel considers there are circumstances that warrant a larger squad.

FAQS
Can I wear my uniform from previous years?
Only the uniform ordered from 2019 thru 2025 (Game Clothing)
NOTE - The AWAY playing top was introduced in 2024, and all players will need to have this version of the top.

When can I try on uniforms for size? Uniforms will be available for sizing on the information day – Date Sunday 21st June 2026. |
How do I order uniforms? And by when?
A link will be provided to the online uniform shop.
Full instructions will be provided in the selection package.
Who organises the flights to Adelaide?
Each player is responsible for their own travel.
HV can organise flights, if required.
Who organises the ground travel for Adelaide?
HV can organise ground transport.
Who organises meals whilst away?
Each player is responsible for their meals.
What are some of the costs involved?
Estimated team costs will be approximately $2000 - $2500 per player.
The team costs include team entry, all training sessions, vehicle transport and accommodation in Adelaide from Wednesday September 23 until departure on Sunday October 4, inclusive.
Estimated personal costs for meals, uniform, flights & any other incidentals is suggested at approximately $1000-1500.
All players must be financial with Hockey Victoria’s Invoicing, Fee Collection & Suspension Policy to be eligible for these teams.
When do I meet the rest of the team?
A meeting will be held for each team on Sunday 21st June @ 7:45am-10:00am.
The meeting times will be included in your selection pack.
This meeting will be used to:
- Meet your team manager.
- Meet your team mates.
Session on the pitch under guidance of coach.
