You need to supply your full name (including middle names) to the Peters Real Estate representative.
In addition, we require your residential address, mobile number and email. You will need to also inform whom is the conveyancer or solicitor that will be acting for you on the purchase.
By law we require documentation to verify identity, so we need to take an image of the driver’s licence of each person. Where a company is the purchasing entity, we need to sight a document of the ABN or ACN.
A contract will be supplied to your nominated Conveyancer/Solicitor, and you will have a total of fourteen days to have the contract signed and sent back to the vendors solicitor (Tranter Lawyers) with a 66W certificate (no cooling off period) in addition to paying the deposit to Peters Real Estate (see next item).

- A deposit equivalent to ten percent of the purchase price is paid to Peters Real Estate eg: Lot 401 is $455,000 so your deposit is $45,500 (forty-two thousand five hundred dollars).
- Upon receipt of your full deposit Peters Real Estate invests the deposit as trustee with the Newcastle Permanent Building Society within seven days of receipt and withdraws all the deposit accrued within 35 days of settlement. You will receive all of the interest accrued however to invest this deposit you must supply Peters Real Estate with your Tax File Numbers.

In terms of a reference for the Bank Transfer please use the Lot Number and ‘BR’ in addition to one of your surnames eg: If Mr Lambert and Mrs Jones were purchasing Lot 518 the reference would be Lot 518 BR Lambert (BR representing Buchanan Ridge).

Yes, there is NO limitation on how many blocks you can buy. Simply supply us with all the information as outlined above in How Do I Purchase A Block?

Registration occurs when all of the infrastructure (roads, kerb & gutters, power, sewerage, town water, etc) are installed to the standard the various government bodies require. This is clearly dependent upon the supply of materials and to what degree inclement weather stall the works. The contractor has advised this will probably happen around the middle of 2027. In the early months of 2027, we will have a better sense of how the infrastructure is progressing and will advise all purchasers of a closer estimation of registration at that time.

Finance approvals typically last for about three months. Our recommendation is that you speak to your Bank/Building Society/Mortgage Broker and discuss with them your financial situation Ie; Your income, assets (Savings/Real Estate/Shares) and determine that you qualify for a loan. We would then suggest you make a formal loan approval approximately eight weeks before registration occurs so that you can complete the sale while your approval still exists.

There is NO time limit when you have to build. Once you take ownership of the block (ie; completion of the sale after registration) you then submit your plans to Cessnock City Council. It is prudent to talk to builders after you have exchanged your contract and organise your design and colour scheme ready for lodgement as soon as you settle on the block.

You can choose your own builder providing the structure complies with the covenants/88b (Building Guidelines in the contract) and with Cessnock City Council requirements.
