Hockey Victoria's High Performance department run numerous development and representative team programs annually. Hockey enthusiasts are encouraged to become a part of programs in a variety of roles.

This portal highlights the programs we run where members of the hockey community can actively contribute to the development of our athletes and to the performance of our teams.

Whether it be COACHING, TEAM MANAGING, SELECTING or providing MEDICAL SUPPORT, there may be a role here for you. We encourage interested persons to register their interest at ANY time.

HC MELBOURNE FUTURES

The Australian U21 Hockey Championships are hosted annually by Hockey Australia, usually over an 8 day period in March.

The Victorian squad generally arrives on site 1 to 2 days prior to the event, thus traveling for a period of 10 days.

The preparation period is usually 8-12 weeks, with 2 sessions per week.

All successful applicants are required to have a current WWCC, with Hockey Victoria registered as an organisation on the Dept of Justice database. Successful applicants are also required to complete a 'statemewnt by supplier' form each calander year. The Australian Indoor Hockey Championships are hosted annually by Hockey Australia.

For the past few years the event has taken place on ONE venue on ONE pitch throughout the month of January with age groups rotateing through every 5 to 6 days.

The preparation period is usually 8-12 weeks, with the volume of training sessions negotiated at the beggining of the process in consultation with the HV Indoor Chair of Selectors and HV High Performance Department.
